Permission precedes import
Only lawfully owned or authorized, redacted first-party records are in the initial scope. Source authority and original references belong alongside the text. Start with the material your team has permission to use.
Approach / evidence
A recommendation is more useful when you can follow its reasoning. We’re designing Beacon to keep source questions, product facts and results connected all the way through the decision.
Evidence before a recommendation
Only lawfully owned or authorized, redacted first-party records are in the initial scope. Source authority and original references belong alongside the text. Start with the material your team has permission to use.
Repeated text is not necessarily independent demand. Duplicates, routine bug reports, stale records and the source’s sampling bias should be visible when deciding what matters.
A question may reveal uncertainty without proving the product can resolve it. Proposed page changes must use supported product facts and explicit exclusions. Missing evidence should remain missing.
A baseline comparison can help a team learn, but traffic mix, other page edits and a small sample can change the result. Record those limits alongside the result, so the next decision benefits from the context.
An example of the distinction
SYNTHETIC REASONING EXAMPLE
“How does migration work?” can support investigating whether an existing migration page explains the process clearly.
It does not establish market size, purchase intent, migration compatibility or the effect a new explanation will have on trials.
The product standard
A quiet week is better than an invented reason to act.
The intended workflow should withhold a full brief when its evidence is inadequate. Deleting a source should invalidate dependent excerpts and claims. The reasoning should remain trustworthy as the source material changes.
The first focus is a useful weekly page decision. Broader market intelligence can wait while we build and learn from this focused workflow.
